Environmental benefits:
The product contains pure evaporated salt without unnecessary additives such as anti-caking agents or colouring. The production of the softening salt is CO2-neutral. We only use power from Greenpeace energy and thus work 100% free of nuclear energy.

The product is certified according to the ECOCERT detergent guidelines, as well as according to the strict guidelines of Ecogarantie and the Vegan Society.

Effect:
The softening salt acts to maintain the function of the softening equipment (ion exchanger) in the dishwasher. The ion exchanger absorbs the calcium and magnesium ions responsible for the hardness of the water and emits sodium ions instead. If the absorption capacity of the ion exchanger is depleted, this must be regenerated, i.e. new sodium ions are provided by the salt.

Dosage:
Place the softening salt in the corresponding reservoir of your dishwasher. Make sure that the dishwasher is set to your regional water hardness range. Information on your water hardness can be obtained from your water bill or from your water provider.

Product features:
Should you observe lime residues on your dishes despite adding softening salt, set the water hardness of your dishwasher to the next range up.
Should your dishwasher exhibit significant residue or limescale you can remove these using SODASAN Lime Remover.

Environmental information:
Sodasan softening salt is 100% pure evaporated salt which is normally used as table salt in the food industry (salt mills). No additives such as anti-caking agents or colouring ensure a particularly long shelf-life of the ion exchanger, as undesirable foreign ions affect its functioning.
